Frequently Asked Questions:

1) Can I register by mail. 

Yes.  However, registering online is by far the most efficient for our affiliate so please consider doing that if it is at all possible for you.  Otherwise, here is a PDF of the registration formthat you can print at home and mail in. 

2.)  Can I take my dog wih me?

For safety reasons, animals are not allowed on the race grounds or course. 

3) I registered as an individual but now want to join a team.  

Email race@komencentralwi.org with your name and the team name.  We'll email you back when you've been moved.

4) Can I have my packet mailed to me?

Only for Sleep In for the Cure participants.   We did allow mailing last year but it was really expensive and labor intensive for our volunteers.   This year all packets for race day (Except Sleep In for the Cure) must be picked up in the Wausau Center Mall.  We have the old Walgreen's location near Sears.   We will be open for packet pickup Thursday - Sunday the week of the race:

Thursday 8/18 & Friday 8/19 - 4:00pm - 8:00pm

Saturday 8/20 - 10:00am - 5:00pm

Sunday 8/21 - 7:00am - 8:30am  

5) I want to start a team.  What Do I do?

Create a Login (if you don't have one already from last year).   On the registration page, click on Start a Team.   Do NOT click on Register as an individual.   If you register as an individual, you can join other teams but you cannot make a new team and be it's captain.  If you've accidentally done this - there is a solution, Email us at race@komencentralwi.org.  tell us your login name and the team that you want to join or create. One of our volunteers will make the changes for you.

6) I want to Start a New Team.  How do I do that?  

See item 5 above.

7.) I am coming from out of town and need a place to stay.  What accommodations are available?

The following sponsor hotels have designated a limited number of room blocks for out of town participants.  Please contact them directly for room availability and rates.  Mention that you are booking for the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure event block of rooms.

8.) I am flying in for the Race.  Are any airlines offering discounts on airfare?

American Airlines provides a 10 % group discount fare for participants desiring to travel to our Race.
