Formed in October 2007, we are one of the newest Komen affiliates. We are focusing on identifying the gaps in breast health care and providing community grants in the seven counties in north Central Wisconsin: Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Portage, Taylor, Wood and a portion of West Shawano County. 

When you donate to your local affiliate you help your community. Up to 75 percent of the net income from each Komen domestic Affiliate is dedicated to fighting breast cancer in that Affiliate's community. Every year, Komen Affiliates award grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. Remaining net income (a minimum of 25 percent) supports the Komen Award and Research Grant Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world. 

The Central Wisconsin Affiliate of the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation is proud to announce the availability of grant funds for fiscal year 2008. Our grant cycle runs from April 1st through March 31st. Eligible applications for FY2008 must have been postmarked by 5:00 p.m. on October 19, 2007. Announcements of funding will be made by March 31, 2008.
